PENGGUNAAN KEPAKARAN STAF DAN KAITANNYA DENGAN KEPUASAN KERJA DI UNIVERSITI SAINS ISLAM MALAYSIA
The Utilization of Staff’s Skills and Its Relationship with Job Satisfaction in Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia

The study was conducted to investigate the relationship between the utilization of staff’s skills and job satisfaction among administration officers at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). A set of questionnaire which comprises instruments to measure job satisfaction and perceived level of skills used by administration officers together with demographic questions, was disseminated via the application of Google Docs, among 180 administration officers in USIM from various categories of service. A total of 91 respondents (50.6% of the administrators’ population) had returned their completed questionnaire. Findings of the study were analyzed using SPSS software including descriptive analyses and correlation. The findings are elaborated thoroughly in the article together with the comparisons with past studies. The research findings are of important to the university management especially in USIM pertaining to the implementation of an effective tasks distribution system among the administration officers, and furthermore, produce exceptional human capital administration officers in USIM.

Abstrak
Kajian ini dijalankan bagi mengenal pasti hubungkait antara penggunaan kepakaran staf dengan kepuasan bekerja dalam kalangan pegawai pentadbiran di Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). Borang soal selidik yang mengandungi instrumen pengukuran persepsi terhadap tahap kepuasan kerja staf, pengukuran persepsi terhadap tahap penggunaan kepakaran staf dan maklumat demografi staf telah diedarkan kepada 180 orang staf pentadbiran di USIM menerusi aplikasi Google Docs. Seramai 91 responden (50.6% daripada keseluruhan populasi pegawai pentadbir) telah memberikan maklum balas terhadap soal-selidik yang dijalankan. Analisis data kajian dibuat menggunakan perisian SPSS termasuklah analisis deskriptif dan kolerasi. Hasil kajian dibincangkan secara terperinci dalam artikel ini berserta perbandingannya dengan kajian-kajian lepas. Kajian ini penting sebagai suatu indikator indeks kepuasan bekerja staf pentadbiran USIM serta menjadi panduan kepada pihak pengurusan universiti khususnya USIM untuk melaksanakan pengagihan tugas yang berkesan dalam usaha melahirkan modal insan yang cemerlang dalam kalangan staf pentadbirannya.
